Buttons aka "Patches" was always a great ol horse. Ever since I was a wee fella Patches has been my elder. I could go out there and talk to it…and it was always the only horse I was never scared by…I knew it would never kick and or want to kill me ever. We called Buttons “Patches”…and then that came to be “YOUNG Patches” because even though she was always old…she had the personality of a young horse in a wise horse’s body. My favorite thing about Patches was when I was down in the field towards Joe’s and Patches came up and I hopped on bareback…she just trotted up to the gate and let me off like a taxi…Patches aka “Psychiatrist” aka “the friendly horse” …will always be missed by me.
