The house is finally finished enough that we are living in it! We have electricity! It is amazing. I have never been so thrilled to simply plug something into a wall outlet! We still have to finish the trim, the deck, and the rock siding, but now that we have running water . . . and WARM water for the shower, and a closet with shelves and places to hang stuff, it’s plenty finished to call it “home”. Just in time for foal watch. And a great spring-cleaning “Moving Sale” – check out our “Moving Sale” page and make an offer! It all has to go!

I want to introduce you to our cat, Chester. We just got some pictures back, and I just have to share them with you! Somebody dropped this cat off at the neighbor’s place and he was living in the culvert right by the road. He’s such a character we just had to take him even before we were quite ready to take care of a cat (Our property is pretty far off the main road so he is a lot safer at our place!), but we are very glad we did. This cat thinks he’s a dog (he can’t get enough loving and petting), he thinks he’s a parrot (He likes to sit on Bob’s shoulder like a bird), he thinks he’s a mountain lion (what a fierce hunter), and sometimes he thinks he’s a mink coat (check out the picture – he loves just hanging all over people like this!). He doesn’t know a stranger, and if you don’t watch out, he will leap on your back or shoulders without any warning. He has startled more than a few visitors!

I was also surprised to find this picture of Missie and Sierra in the last batch of pictures. I don’t remember taking it . . . I don’t remember these two ever being this close without pinned ears! This must have been one of those rare moments from the weeks they were stuck with each other.
